D4RUNOFF FINAL OPEN DAY

Have you ever been to Odense, the hometown of the beloved fairy-tale author Hans Christian Andersen? Famous for The Little Mermaid and The Ugly Duckling, the city is the perfect backdrop for our Final Open Day on 12 November 2025.

As D4RUNOFF approaches its conclusion early next year, this event will be the last major gathering for citizens and stakeholders — a full day bringing together water experts, local and national stakeholders, students, researchers, EU-funded projects, and the wider community.

Where? Frølageret Cultural Centre, in the heart of Odense

When? 12 November, 8:30am – 5:00pm

The Open Day will present the final results of the project, highlighting both scientific insights and technological innovations. A dedicated session will showcase other EU projects in the water sector, followed by a panel discussion with experts exploring today’s water management challenges and opportunities.

We are also excited to welcome local pupils of the 7th grade, who will play the final version of the D4RUNOFF cards game, participate to the LEGO Serious Play workshop and take home special souvenirs.

And don’t miss our citizen science initiative: the people who contributed runoff samples for analysis will be present to share their experiences. Their involvement has been essential for advancing contaminant screening and characterisation in the project.

Afternoon sessions (limited seats — register soon!):

  1. Risk Assessment Workshop (2:00–4:00pm) – Registration open
  2. Gamification Challenge & Serious Game Test (2:00-4:30pm) – Registration open

The agenda will be published soon, but general registration is already open. Don’t miss the chance to join us in Odense for this unique event!

If you have any questions or you need any further assistance, please contact the organisers of the Open Day: either Evdokia Bairampa at evdokia@threeoclock.co or Jonas Deibjerg Rasmussen at jdr@vandcenter.dk.

We look forward to seeing you there!
